As the world turns its attention to Paris for the 2024 Olympics, we reflect on our own remarkable journey in the FRP (Fiber Reinforced Polymer) industry. Chongqing, China - Chongqing Dongshuimen Bridge, a pivotal link across the Yangtze River connecting Yuzhong and Nan'an districts, has unveiled a cutting-edge approach to urban infrastructure with the use of FRP (Fiber Reinforced Polymer) hollow core slabs. Completed in 2014, this dual-purpose bridge spans approximately 858 meters and features a dual four-lane upper deck for urban expressway traffic, designed for speeds up to 40 kilometers per hour. Below, a dual-lane urban rail transit system operates at speeds of up to 60 kilometers per hour.

Spare's sandwich insulation wall FRP connector is pivotal for linking concrete slabs on insulation boards, resisting lifting and shear forces. Comprising FRP connecting plates and ABS engineering plastic collars, it ensures secure connections and accurate positioning during concrete pouring. With extensive production capabilities, Spare has supplied over 13 million FRP connectors to prominent clients like Vanke Beijing Region and China Construction Group. These connectors offer superior mechanical strength and thermal insulation compared to traditional anchors, combining stability with rust resistance for long-lasting performance.

The roofing material used is FRP deck supplied by Spare, which has a light weight and a thickness of 40cm. The width of the FRP deck is 500cm and its length can be adjusted according to the design requirements, with a maximum length of 3000cm. The FRP deck serves as both the top and bottom layers of the roof ridge, with the top layer being connected to waterproof corrugated boards and fixed with hanging tile strips, and the bottom layer being fixed with a secondary keel.
